Should we shoot for new sites, Hit up a few inboard races, try harder to push the inboard teams.
We have no one to fill the middle teams. If someone goes to a few smaller races, and has fun,and does well, and says hey I want to take a stab at the pros.So can someone go from a very good inboard team and do well against anyone of the pro teams, Hell no! So how can we close the gap and get teams to get off of there asses. I think we need to try and push the inboards, and get some of the local teams to get out and give a stab at running the inboards, but not limit them to just inboards. Let run anything that they can find(as long as it's a awsa/usa aproved boat). If some is a clear cut winner we bump them to the pros?
We will be able to gide the open teams with driving, sking, and training. We need to help them to help us, it would add to our fun, and draw more of a crowd.

Should not ask me for a reply! I agree we need more inboards or tournament outboards. Maybe Pro,inboards, outboards for 3 classes. I feel we need to get early dates & new sites(not easy due to nature, saftey) Some how some tech person needs to get this site or info out to more skiers. I stay involved & only found out about thi site trying to find out about a Ohio event. I called 3 people who live in the area & know one could tell me anything about the people or the event. I feel many non tournament footers would have a want to try if they were informed early. The largest number of footers don't ski tournaments because they don't feel they get to ski enough & are boreing. If they got to know more people they might also try 3 events once they got involved. Maybe get a list of all tournament boat dealers,West Marine ,US Boat stores & get a flyer out to post showing pictures & some info on upcomeing events Just some thoughts

Don those are great ideas,I think if we all called or e-mailed every footer that we know, and put them on a mailing list we could be able to get the word out to a lot more footers. If someone is hosting a race or we are haveing a race then someone (host) needs to make a flyer and get it to all of the local boating shops.
Any reply is a welcome one,as long as it's for making things better for everyone.
We need to start making baby steps.

Skied New Years day at Lake Normnan & skied sat. in Tn. for charity with 63 others untill trash shut us down. Rain & high water not fun either but day 2 for 2009. What about getting Barefoot Central & all open pro skiers to list the raceing web site. The largest % of barefoot skiers if they knew that all they need is a boat & team to compete & have a good time.We need help letting people know about this site & how simple it is to attend
